Project Manager, National Security Institute

Annie Heyns is a Project Manager at the Virginia Tech National Security Institute.  She previously served as the Vice President of Client Services at Alacran, where she led Alacran’s project management and management consulting business lines. She specializes in technical project management, strategy consulting, project finance and operational modeling.

Throughout her career, Annie has worked in the manufacturing, defense and energy sectors and served as a statistician for the US Department of Energy.

She has Master of Arts degrees in International Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins University SAIS and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Syracuse University.
