Luke Smith is a recent Computer Engineering graduate from Virginia Tech majoring in Networking and Cybersecurity. He is a native Virginian; his hometown being Tangier Island located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Luke recently participated in VTNSI’s internship program last summer and continued to work as an Undergraduate Researcher in Fall 2022. Some academic interests of his include embedded systems and microcontroller programming as well as malware analysis and software reverse engineering. Luke enjoys retro gaming, hiking, hunting, plant foraging and identification, and spending time with his wife and son.
