Research Assistant Professor, Intelligent Systems Division

Paul Wach received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech, M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and PhD in systems engineering (SE) at Virginia Tech. His research interests include the intersection of theoretical foundations of SE, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Wach is a member of the Intelligent Systems Division with the Virginia Tech National Security Institute. He was the President and Founder of the Virginia Tech student division of the International Council on SE (INCOSE). Dr. Wach is also associated with The Aerospace Corporation, serving as a subject matter expert on digital transformation. His prior work experience is with the Department of Energy in lead engineering and management roles ranging in magnitude from $1-12B as well as work experience with two National Laboratories and the medical industry.
