Jonathan Pitt is a part time research faculty member in the National Security Institute's Intelligent Systems Division and an associate professor of Aerospace and Ocean Engineering.

His research expertise includes Applied Mechanics and Biomechanics, Dynamic Systems, Acoustics, and Vibrations, Multiscale and Multiphysics, Modeling, and Computational Analysis.

Pitt earned a Ph.D in engineering science and mechanics from the Pennsylvania State University, a M.S. in engineering mechanics from the Pennsylvania State University, and a B.S. in physics and mathematics from Lebanon Valley College.
