Aaron Orndorff is a Senior Research Associate within the Spectrum Dominance Division at the Virginia Tech National Security Institute (VTNSI). He serves as a principal or co-principal investigator on numerous projects within the division in various areas of national security. Aaron has over 15+ years of experience in the defense and intelligence communities specializing in foreign threat radar analysis, radar algorithm development, emitter characterization, and antenna analysis. Aaron earned a M.S. and B.S in Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech and currently holds an active TS/SCI clearance. His research interests include complex emitter characterization, machine learning techniques applied to radar and electronic warfare, and weapons system analysis.
