Lynn Wright is a private consultant and advisory board member for a variety of academic and national security technology firms. She is currently an advisory board member for Virginia Tech National Security Institute, Penn State University Advanced Research Lab, Hawkeye 360, and Fortem Technologies. She is the Chairperson & CEO for Naval Intelligence Professionals, a 501-C3 non-profit established to advance Naval Intelligence skills and capabilities.

With over 35 years of experience in Intelligence Community organizations and operations from the national to the tactical, Wright has broad experience with traditional military operations against peer competitors as well as countering networks involved in narcotics, WMD, and insurgencies. She has practical experience in SIGINT, HUMINT/CI, Open Source and theater collection operations. Organizational leadership for an extended period as the acting Director of Naval Intelligence in the Pentagon, the Joint Staff task force for Afghanistan/Pakistan intelligence operations, and in Kabul as the chief for all Defense Intelligence Agency operations in Afghanistan. She has developed strategic policy and guidance at the OSD, ODNI and NSC levels. Noted skills in developing the next generation of Intelligence Community analysts, collectors and senior leaders.

A recipient of the National Intelligence Distinguished Service medal (2016), the Navy Civilian Distinguished Service medal (2019) and two Presidential Rank Awards (Meritorious, 2011 & 2017). She is a graduate of Old Dominion University (BA 1984), George Mason University (MA 2000), and the National Defense University (MS 2012).
