Greg Lowe is the Director of the Defense Civilian Training Corps at Virginia Tech. VT is one of four pilot universities for this innovative DoD workforce development program. DCTC recruits highly accomplished college juniors for a 2-year curriculum in acquisition (federal procurement) fundamentals, communication, teamwork, service, and leadership. DCTC scholars undertake an 8-week project-based internship at a DoD lab or facility, earn a security clearance. In return for 2 years of full scholarship, graduates serve for at least 2 years as a DoD civil servant, working on vital national security missions and gaining valuable workplace experience alongside a diverse team of Americans. Greg is a retired US Air Force colonel, having served in a variety of aircraft maintenance, logistics, foreign policy, and training assignments. He ended his 27-year career as the commander of Air Force ROTC at Virginia Tech, his alma mater. He has a B.A. in Political Science From Virginia Tech, and an M.S. in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School at National Defense University. |
