Jared Byers

Jared Byers' area of expertise is in Big Data analytics and machine learning. He has worked on numerous projects focusing on image classification, minimizing cost and improving the accuracy of these models. He has done work in transfer learning and active learning, reducing the amount of labeled instance required to train an effective model. Byers received his master's in information science with a focus in big data analytics from the University of Pittsburgh and he received his bachelor's in computational modeling and data analytics with a minor in statistics from Virginia Tech.
