Jaime Camelio

Associate Dean for Research, University of Georgia College of Engineering

Jaime Camelio is the University of Georgia College of Engineering's associate dean for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship following a national search. 

Camelio was previously the Rolls-Royce Commonwealth Professor for Advanced Manufacturing at Virginia Tech and Virginia Tech’s director of strategic industry and state partnerships for advanced manufacturing initiatives. 

Camelio holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. He received a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Universidad Católica de Chile.
